There are many organizations dedicated to recycling and promoting environmental responsibility. The following links below are a few organizations that can help you to learn more about recycling, conservation and green living.
Are you planning on moving or have recently moved to La Habra? Have you recently finished a garage sale, but were not able to sell that old filing cabinet? Do you have old furniture, used frying oil, or used packing peanuts that you need to get rid of but you would rather see it reused and recycled instead of ending up in a landfill?
If so, read on for several resources that can help you sell, or donate your items and have them reused in the process.
The City's contracted waste hauler is Waste Management of Orange County. They provide curebside mixed recyclling collection as a part of their weekly services. Save California's Resources by Recycling Construction & Demolition Debris!
La Habra's construction and demolition ordinance requires that all applicants of certain construction and demolition projects must recycle at least 50% of all construction and demolition waste.
Some of the major categories of construction and demolition that can be recycled are Concrete, Asphalt Paving, Asphalt Roofing, Lumber, Gypsum Board, Rock, Soil and Soil Fines.
